We are Bold, Equal and Empowered (BEE) and we are a youth activist group at Shetland Rape Crisis. Welcome to our page!

We meet monthly (currently remotely) to speak about issues which we think are important in Shetland, Scotland and around the globe.

When we meet we are always planning ahead of what we would like to campaign for in Shetland next.

We regularly take part in events such as International Women's Day and the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based Violence.

If you would like to join us, you can contact us at or download the recruitment pack on the right hand side on this page.

This page is for keeping you updated with what we are doing.

We are proud to announce that we have just released a resource for young people during a pandemic.

You can download it here or you can flick through each of the BEE sections to find out about Who we are, Self-Care, Consent and help when Supporting a friend.

Fun fact: Today, the day of our first official campaign release, is WORLD BEE DAY.

We love bees, not just because they are our group's symbol but because they preserve so much live on earth.

If you think about it - they are the most essential workers of all.
